12-Year-Old Danny Zappin Raises Funds for a Library in Mexico

At 12 years old, Danny Zappin successfully raised thousands of dollars to build a library for more than 500 children in Chihuahua, Mexico as his Bar Mitzvah project.

Danny raised the money by selling bookmarks, sending emails, and making a website. Through his efforts, 150 donors contributed to his fundraising campaign and $15,000 was raised to open the library bearing his Hebrew name Doran Zev in 2017.
