Mission
The mission of The World is Just a Book Away (WIJABA) is to promote literacy, education, health, and environmental stewardship by developing libraries and programs that plant the seeds of leadership, environmental consciousness, and community service.
Achievements
WIJABA libraries are centers of literacy and learning that also serve as community centers and classrooms for WIJABA facilitated programs. All libraries are within a 2-hour radius of a hub office to facilitate community partnerships. Since its inception in 2008, WIJABA's libraries and impact have reached over 1,000,000+ children with:
